Last night, Weston Beamor and Domino Jewellery were delighted to attend the UK Jewellery Awards alongside our friends, customers and peers from across the sector. It was a fantastic evening celebrating the incredible talent, innovation and craftsmanship within our industry.
To top off a wonderful night, we are incredibly proud to have been awarded Responsible Jewellery Business of the Year.
What makes this recognition particularly special is the calibre of the judging process. The award is judged by some of the most respected names in the jewellery industry, with every entry rigorously assessed and debated against a demanding set of environmental, social and governance criteria. To be recognised by such an experienced panel is a genuine honour and a testament to the commitment our entire team has made to responsible business.
For us, responsible business has never been about ticking boxes or chasing awards. It's about making better decisions every day - for our people, our customers, our communities and the environment. This award recognises the progress we've made, but more importantly, it reinforces our commitment to continually raising the standards of responsible British jewellery manufacturing.
Responsibility is Part of Everything We Do
As one of the UK's leading jewellery manufacturers, we recognise the responsibility that comes with our position. From reducing our environmental impact to investing in the next generation of craftspeople, we're committed to ensuring that the jewellery we create is made with integrity, transparency and care.
Over the past year we've continued to make significant progress across our environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments, including:
- Working towards our target of reaching net zero emissions by 2030.
- Reducing our carbon emissions by 21% during 2024, with a 50% reduction expected by the end of 2025.
- Manufacturing with 100% recycled gold and silver, alongside closed-loop processes that reclaim 99% of precious metal waste.
- Supporting apprentices, trainees and local vocational students to help safeguard the future of British jewellery manufacturing.
- Continuing rigorous supplier audits and responsible sourcing programmes to ensure the highest ethical standards throughout our supply chain.
Recognition for a Collective Effort
This award belongs to everyone across Weston Beamor. From our workshop teams and designers to our operations, customer service and leadership teams, responsible business is embedded into the decisions made every day. Whether it's improving manufacturing processes, reducing waste, investing in people or maintaining the highest sourcing standards, every individual plays a part.
We're also grateful to our customers, suppliers and industry partners who continue to support and challenge us to keep improving.
Looking Ahead
While we're delighted to receive this award, we see it as encouragement to keep pushing forward rather than a destination we've reached. The jewellery industry continues to evolve, and so do the expectations around sustainability, transparency and responsible sourcing. We welcome that challenge.
As we continue to invest in our people, technology and manufacturing capabilities, we'll remain focused on building a business that balances exceptional British craftsmanship with responsible practices that create long-term value for our customers, our industry and future generations.
Winning Responsible Jewellery Business of the Year is a milestone we're incredibly proud of, and celebrating with our team and industry colleagues last night made the achievement even more special.
